KSI Financial Consultants (KSIFC) is managed by a Board of competent professionals who have extensive knowledge and practical experience of Bahraini financial consulting practices. They also have a comprehensive knowledge of the international banking practices and local and regional legal/ regulatory aspects and compliance requirements in the areas of banking risk management, fund raising, asset allocation including critical analysis of business plans and feasibility studies.
Brief profile of the members of KSIFC Board of Management
Mr. Ahmed has a long professional career in the GCC region as he served in several organizations/industries in the GCC region which he utilized perfectly to map out his future career plan in the fields of auditing and business consulting. Mr. Ahmed became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2006 and currently reading for Level 2 exam leading to CFA qualification. Since being a CPA, Mr. Ahmed has been a self-motivated course instructor for CPA, CMA and CIA professional programs.
Following several years of service at Kuwait office, he was selected to lead the Bahrain office operation form the inception.
He is also the Managing Partner of KSI Bahrain Consultants and Public Accountants and, apart from his membership of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, he holds membership of Kuwait Association of Accountants and Auditors, Bahrain Accountants Association, and Kuwait Economic Society.
Dr. Bakri A. Bashir has B.Sc. (Honors) in Accounting and Finance from University of Khartoum, Sudan, MSc. and PHD in Accounting and Finance from University of Lancaster, UK. He has over 10 years of experience as an Associate Professor of Accounting and Finance at the university of Khartoum, and over 25 years of experience as a Commercial Banker and Central Banker in the Kingdom of Bahrain, with specialization in Islamic Banking. As a banker, he contributed in the development of Bahrain as an International Islamic Banking Centre through the development of number of Islamic Banking products, Islamic funds and Islamic Trusts where he largely experienced in the development of all regulatory aspects related to conventional and Islamic Banking and Finance. He worked 2 years with Al- Baraka Islamic Bank, 18 years with the Central Bank of Bahrain, 4 years with Eskan Bank and 2 years with Ibdar Bank when it was called as CMH.
Krithivasan is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (FCA) and Certified System Auditor (CISA) who has over 35 years of experience in Corporate and Banking environment. He has over 20 years of experience in Banking and worked from 1993 to 2013 in Arab Banking Corporation (ABC), one of the largest International Banks in Bahrain with presence in over 15 countries across the globe.
Having started in the Group Internal Audit Department, he later progressed in to Risk Management and retired as the Group Head of Policies and Procedures in 2013.
As a Senior Team Leader in the Group Internal Audit Department, he has obtained an in-depth knowledge of auditing various activities including Treasury, Marketable Securities, Loans and Trade Finance, regulatory compliance, etc. Since then, this knowledge has been helping him in assessing internal controls and recommending key controls in various areas of operations and accounting.
Prior to joining ABC he worked for Ernst & Young and had involved in audit of banks, insurance companies and manufacturing enterprises. During his tenure at Ernst & Young, he had regularly interacted with various regulatory agencies, including CBB (Bahrain), FSA (UK) and OCC (USA) in various compliance related matters. He was actively involved in review of strategic planning and budgets and served as member of asset allocation committee to ensure optimum utilization of capital taking in to account regulatory demands (BASEL II) International financial reporting standards (IFRSs).
He is highly system savvy and had led teams to implement core banking systems including a Global Credit Risk Management system and served as a member of several system implementation committees, including BASEL II.
